Romantic and a little bit gothic, the logo needed to represent the sensuality and uniqueness of Marissa's bespoke perfumes. Inspired by 1940s french typography, we created a monogram logo that could be used in a wide variety of environments and situations with optional violet flower decorative detailing.

Each fragrance in The Garden Collection evokes an aspect of a secret garden: cold stone, flowers budding and dried, strewn about tea leaves and tarot cards, and a locked wooden gate.

THE PINK BEDROOM PERFUME OIL

Inspired by Portia Munson’s exhibition “The Pink Bedroom,” running January-July 2023 at The Museum of Sex in New York City, this concentrated perfume oil evokes plastic doll heads, sweet makeup powder, strawberry candy, and something slightly more unnerving underneath. Limited edition.

With notes of cassis, heliotrope, rose de mai, orris resinoid, strawberry and musk.

REDAMANCE COLLECTION

Each fragrance in The Redamance Collection is an homage and olfactive portrait of an overlooked woman from history and the notes reflect her time period, personality and environment. The fragrances are Imperia La Divina, Ching Shih and Queen Nzinga. Redamance aims to connect women of the past to women today through the transportive art of perfumery.

Label concept and design for a new perfume by Marissa Zappas in collaboration with M. Elizabeth Scott. Flaming Creature is a narcotic, hazy evocation of – and ode to – American filmmaker Jack Smith (1932 - 1989)’s best-known work, the entrancingly disjointed Flaming Creatures. Feral first breaths of night-blooming jasmine and pink peppercorn give way to a subtle base of smoldering wormwood, patchouli and musk.
